If it is not you, who? If not now, when?

If it is not you, who?
If not now, when?

When God wants to drill a man,
And thrill a man,
And skill a man …

When God wants to mold a man to play the noblest part;

When He yearns with all His heart
To create so great and bold a man

That all the world shall be amazed,

Watch His methods;
Watch His ways!

How He ruthlessly perfects
Whom He royally elects!

How He hammers him and hurts him,
And with mighty blows converts him
Into frail shapes of clay
That only God understands;
While his tortured heart is crying
And he lifts beseeching hands!

How he bends but never breaks
When His good he undertakes.
How He uses whom He chooses
And with every purpose fuses him;
By every art induces him
To try His splendour out -

God knows what He’s about!

 This piece of poetry was communicated to me earlier this week.  After a few hours, it quickly becomes my favorite poem  – before “IF” of Rudyard Kipling.  I am searching for its author, until then I have to credit it to anonimity.

When I was in high school, I was forced to memorized “If” by Rudy Kippling.  After my passage through puberty and my coming of age and being a man and a father, I then knew the true meaning and value of this poem “IF” of Rudyard Kippling.  Joseph Rudyard Kipling  (30 December 1865 – 18 January 1936) was a British author and poet.  Learn more here.

I praise God every day and blessed His name forever for my educators and for all of those who guided me to the right path.
